The St Agatha's Vision for Learning

St Agatha's Curriculum Delivery Plan promotes the school's values and beliefs and is aligned to the Australian Curriculum and Archdiocese Religious Education Curriculum. The plan incorporates expectations of research-based practice to support and promote growth and achievement in student learning.

Our school's vision for learning was drawn from the key principles of the Alice Springs (Mparntwe) Declaration with a focus on “Improving educational outcomes for all young Australians is central to the nation's social and economic prosperity and will position young people to live fulfilling, productive and responsible lives".

The Declaration has two distinct but interconnected goals:

Goal 1: The Australian education system promotes excellence and equity

Goal 2: All young Australians become:

1.      confident and creative individuals

2.      successful lifelong learners

3.      active and informed members of the community.

Achieving these education goals is the responsibility of Australian Governments and the education community, including St Agatha's School, in partnership with young Australians, their families and carers and the broader community.

As a Catholic Christian Community, we educate all to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ as successful, creative and confident, active and informed learners empowered to shape and enrich our world.

Drawn from the Alice Srpings Declaration, the St Agatha's Vission, Mission and Values and Brisbane Catholic Education's Vision, the St Agatha's teaching team co-constructed a Vision for Learning that will guide all learning decisions at St Agathas.
